Locations,

Format &

Frequency

I offer some hybrid/in-person sessions (in the East Bay of the SF Bay Area), though I mostly work by HIPPA-compliant video conferencing/”Telehealth” or phone call when a stable Internet connection is unavailable. As a California-licensed MFT, I am able to work with you when you are physically in California only. We can discuss taking breaks for planned vacations, emergencies, etc., but state law requires you to be within California when we meet. Offices near Berkeley High (Berkeley Downtown BART) and uptown Oakland (secure parking in private lot or 3 blocks from 19th Street BART).

Initially, frequency can range from weekly or twice weekly sessions and can be tapered to more maintenance levels over time. Frequency is driven by what’s clinically indicated and will be discussed openly and agreed upon. I consider my clients to be active partners in our work together; This includes articulating needs or actively engaging to identify needs and enhance communication skills, completing required paperwork, and paying fees as agreed upon.

Availability

Currently, my practice is nearly full, with limited availability on Mondays and Tuesdays, roughly 10–4 p.m. (This is subject to change, however, if we’re a potential match, I will provide my current availability when we speak.)

Fees

My current fee is a sliding scale from $195-$250 for 50-minute, individual weekly sessions by agreement, and is prorated for intakes, couples/families, and extended sessions. Fees can be negotiated for those coming twice per week, periodic extended sessions, or occasional check-ins that exceed the allotted 10 minutes.

Pursuant to the No Surprises Act (HR133, Title 45 Section 149.610), this form will provide a current or prospective client with a “Good Faith Estimate” (GFE) of expected charges for services to be provided.

You are entitled to receive this “Good Faith Estimate” of what the charges could be for psychotherapy services provided to you as a “private payer”, not using or billing an insurance company. While it is not possible for a psychotherapist to know in advance exactly how many psychotherapy sessions may be necessary or appropriate for a given person, this initial notice and a more personalized form will be provided prior to starting services as an estimate of the cost of potential services. Your total cost of services will depend upon the number of psychotherapy sessions you attend, your individual circumstances, and the type and amount of services that are provided to you at the agreed upon rate, TBD upon Intake completion. This estimate is not a contract and does not obligate you to obtain any services from me, nor does it include any services that may be recommended during treatment to you that are not identified here.  This Good Faith Estimate is not intended to serve as a recommendation for treatment or a prediction that you may need to attend a specified number of psychotherapy visits. The number of visits that are appropriate in your case, and the estimated cost for those services, depends on your needs as discussed and what you agree to prior to the start of therapy. If you’re billed in excess of $400.00 or more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute. You are entitled to disagree with any recommendations made to you concerning your treatment and you may discontinue treatment at any time.
